4 Types of presentations

We have two main types of presentations:

  1. Documentary presentations.
  2. profitable presentations.

Documentary presentations:

They are used for delivering heavy information or educating people, and it’s targeting mind. They are divided into two types:

  1. Informational Presentations
  2. Educational Presentations

Informational presentation:

Informational presentation type is used for turning a report of a long case study into a short presentation.

Educational presentation:

This is one of the most common types; it’s used for educating people about some skills or knowledge.

Documentary presentations Purposes:

  • Auditing situation to stakeholders.
  • Teaching and training.

Profitable presentation spread like wildfire in the world because of Tedx and pitch decks. Some people call it “commercial presentations” and these types are used for inspiring people or convincing them strategically. This type targets mind and heart, and they are divided into two types:

  1. Strategic Presentations
  2. Inspiring Presentations

Strategic presentations:

They are used for a group of experts in some matter to convince them strategically such as investors or business managers.

Presenters:

  • Sales specialists
  • Business developers strategist
  • Entrepreneurs
  • Marketers

Inspirational presentation:

Tedx dominant type, it’s used for inspiring a large group of people to convince them emotionally and mentally to change their concerns towards a traditional problem.

Presenters:

  • Founders
  • Professors
  • Researchers
  • Public speakers
  • Influential thought leaders

Profitable presentations purposes:

  • Convincing people with ideas or thought.
  • Selling and making money.
  • Build influential leadership.

Profitable presentations challenges:

  • Building a trust to convince.
  • Information and emotional delivery.
  • Answering most of the questions without being asked.

How much to write in a presentation?

There’s no rule for how much you need to write in your presentation but we need to understand presentations formats first.

2 types of Presentation formats:

  1. Slideument
  2. Interactive presentation (a real presentation)

Slideument:

Slideument is a presentable document or it is all ideas and preparations you made for your presentation as a handout for presentees to read later.

How much to write?

Write all important information but try to make it descriptive and scannable.
